CTC MEDIA PROVIDES UPDATE ON THE START OF THE SPRING TV SEASON<br> ON ITS FLAGSHIP CTC TV NETWORK

Moscow, Russia – March 20, 2007 – CTC Media, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTCM), a leading television broadcaster in Russia, today announced that the second half of the 2006-2007 television season is off to a strong start. The second season of Russian TV series KADETS, launched on March 7, 2007, is performing in-line with management expectations, delivering average audience share above 15%, and about 20% in its target audience. Since March 7, 2007 CTC Network’s average audience share has been running at around 10% with no other significant premiers having been launched this month. Programming on the CTC Network remains balanced between domestically produced and quality foreign products, such as THE O.C. that started yesterday, March 19, 2007, in the 6PM pre-prime slot. Later in the spring season GREY’S ANATOMY will appear in the CTC’s schedule.

The second season of KADETS comprises 50 episodes that are scheduled to run at 8PM on weekdays through May 2007. The first season of KADETS was highly successful on CTC in the fall of 2006, with average audience share in the 8PM timeslot of 17% and 21% in CTC’s target 6-54 demographic.

THE O.C. is an American comedy-drama television series that originally aired on FOX in the United States in August 2003. The O.C. has aired in more than 50 countries worldwide.

GREY’S ANATOMY is an Emmy, SAG, and Golden Globe award-winning American primetime television medical drama originally aired in the United States on ABC in March 2005.
