Moscow, Russia — March 1, 2016 —CTC Media, Russia's leading content holding, announces the launch of international version of Domasnhy TV channel, Domashny International.
The new channel was uplinked to Astra 5B satellite in February 2016 in cooperation with SES, allowing CTC Media to expand its broadcast geography to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Israel and Kazakhstan. Domashny International is already available in Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and across Europe. Broadcasting of Domashny International for the viewers outside Russia commenced in 2015.
The international version of Domashny was launched to support the international broadcasting project of CTC Media.
Earlier, CTC International, the international version of CTC, was launched in 2009, and Peretz International, the international version of Peretz, was launched in 2014. The international version of CTC is currently available in CIS states, Middle East, Europe and North America. The international version of Peretz is currently available in Belarus and in Kyrgyzstan.
